As you saw (click here for the pictures), the Wavelink AsiaPac team attended and sponsored the Honeywell AsiaPac and China shows on Feb 28-29, and Mar 1-2 respectively in Hangzhou China near Shanghai.
The conferences were to bring together Honeywell’s reseller and partners to learn Honeywell’s plans for 2012 and beyond. Products, strategies, and guidance on how to maximize your opportunities were provided in the areas of mobile computers and scanners. Participants were rotated through sessions specializing on field mobility, retail, and warehousing with each touching on how Honeywell specializes in each area, and how participants can again optimize their participation in these market segments.
The events included networking and social events with a reception the evening (did I mention the pictures?) before the main conference where Wavelink displayed our TE, Speakeasy, and Velocity communication products. An awards dinner was held recapping the successes of major resellers in the area with traditional local menu items. The event concluded with an optional sightseeing bus tour of scenic areas around Hangzhou including the historic and beautiful West Lake area.
On the trip into the area we took the opportunity to ride the high-speed train, travelling at over 430KM per hour. The high-speed train was a very exciting ride. It was a great opportunity to see many of our former LXE reseller partners and to get to know many new partners as the company now brings everyone together under one Honeywell brand and face to the market.
In hindsight, the trip to China, the new opportunities, and the entire event were altogether a very exciting ride!
